Raffles Grand Hotel D’Angkor • Siem Reap, Cambodia
This property is one of our favorites in all of Southeast Asia. It’s one of those spots you just want to come back to. Although large, this luxurious and classic has the intimacy of a boutique property with the highest level of service. Dating from 1932, this hotel offers “old world” charm. The history of the hotel is one of its strongest draws, not to mention the stunning pool area that welcomes you when you walk in. There are a number of different room categories to fit all types of guests, from couples or friends to families with younger children, to the amazing private villas. The staff are fantastic, with an exceptional eye for detail and who always go that extra mile for our guests. We have worked closely with Raffles for many years and we know that any guest we send there will receive the best of the best. This property is also centrally located and is a quick 2 minute walk from Angkor National Museum and a short tuk-tuk or car ride from Angkor Wat, and stands right in front of Siem Reap’s beautiful Royal Gardens. Stop by the famous Elephant Bar, or take a tour with the hotel’s historian to learn about past visitors such as Jackie Kennedy and Charlie Chaplin!
Although part of a chain of luxury hotels, its distinctive style, history and quality of service make you feel like you are staying in a one-of-a-kind property. And nothing quite beats that magnificent pool!
Some of the rooms don’t have as great a view as others. Best to request pool view or facing the Royal Gardens.
During the dryer months they show old movies on a big screen around the pool. A nightcap under the stars with Casablanca playing in the background? Yes please.
