Day 1 Hanoi - Arrival

Catch your flight. Arrive at Noibai airport Hanoi, where you will be met by your guide and transferred to your hotel.

Take a one-hour cyclo tour of this charming capital city through the scenic Colonial Quarter, the Restored Sword Lake, and the Old Quarter of “36 streets of 36 wares.”

Attend a Water Puppet Show to experience a truly traditional Vietnamese evening. Your guide will take you to a local restaurant for dinner.

Day 2 Hanoi - City Tour

Your guide will meet you and will discuss with you what you would like to see. There are so many options that we like to leave it up to you and your guide to decide what suits you best. Some interesting highlights are the Hanoi Hilton, where John McCain and other prisoners were held during the war, it now houses a museum.

Or head to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum where you can see Uncle Ho laid out to rest. If you like art you can visit the Fine Art Museum or see which local galleries are offering shows. The Temple of Literature is always a nice place to stroll through and is a great stop before or after lunch as you will be having lunch at KOTO, a restaurant benefiting at risk youths. Your guide will be with you all day. So discuss what suits you and then have fun.

Day 3 Halong Bay with Kayaking

Your guide will meet you at your hotel and take you in a private car to Halong Bay where you will board the Huong Hai Junk. After checking in enjoy lunch on board, including a complimentary glass of wine.

Start your cruise through Halong Bay enjoying the stunning scenery of this amazing World Heritage Site. After a cruise the boat will stop and you can paddle from Titov Beach to Luon Cave after which you can enjoy a well deserved dinner on board. In the evening enjoy an optional night paddle, fishing or partake in some Vietnamese wine. Spend the night onboard.

Day 4 Halong Bay with Kayaking - Part 2

After an early breakfast on the boat continue kayaking in this incredible area from Luon Cave towards the islands of Man’s Head and Tortoise Islands. Return to the boat after your morning paddle to rinse off and enjoy your last lunch aboard as you make your way back to Halong City. Return to Hanoi in a private car, stopping en-route at Dong Trieu Pottery.

Day 5 Hanoi - Day at Leisure

Today you are free to explore Hanoi on your own.

Day 6 Hue - Arrival

Transfer to Noibai airport for your onward flight. You will be met on arrival in Hue and taken to check in at your hotel.

With your guide, you will take one-hour cyclo tour of the Royal Palace through the Colonial Quarter.

Day 7 Hue - City Tour

With your guide visit the old capital city, a World Cultural Heritage site. Visit the Royal Tombs of Emperor Khai Dinh and Tu Duc. Enjoy lunch at the local restaurant. In the afternoon take a dragon boat across the triangle of the Perfume River, stop to visit Con Hen Island and Thien Mu Pagoda. Continue to Phu Cat quarter to enjoy the special glutinous cakes of Hue: Banh Me, Banh Nam and Banh Uot.

Your guide will take you to the Ancient House in Hue, a beautiful home with gardens exemplifying the use of Feng Shui in ancient architecture. A noted Hue historian and the owner of the home will give you a personal tour and you can then stay and enjoy a home cooked meal with him served in the Ancient House.

Day 8 Hue - HoiAn

Enjoy your morning at leisure.

In the afternoon drive to HoiAn, a picturesque riverside town 30 km south of Danang that was one of South East Asia’s major international ports during the 17th, 18th, 19th centuries. Have dinner at a HoiAn restaurant specializing in Hoi An delicacies like White Rose.

Day 9 HoiAn - City Tour, Half-Day

After breakfast your guide will meet you and take you on a walking tour of HoiAn. Visit the Ancient Town including the beautiful Chua Cau, or roofed bridge, Hoi Quan, the ancient meeting places, some ancestral family homes and some of the lovely and hidden pagodas.

Have lunch at a local restaurant. Spend the afternoon at your leisure.

Day 11 Saigon - Arrival

Drive to Danang where you will transfer to the airport for your onward flight. Arrive in Saigon where you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

You will take a one-hour cyclo tour of Chinese quarter through Rice Market and Cho Lon market where you can see the daily life of Saigon people.

Day 12 Saigon - City Tour

Our guides are the experts so we leave you in their hands to decide what you want to see and do today. There are some great markets if you are in the mood to shop or you can visit some of the museums like the History Museum, or some pagodas, like Thien Hau Pagoda and Jade Emperor Pagoda. A more somber attraction is the War Remnants Museum, a very powerful look at the Vietnam War. Chat with your guide and decide what suits you!

Overnight at Majestic Saigon Hotel - Colonial River View

Day 13 Saigon - Cu Chi Tunnels / Meet with Vets

Take a full day excursion to the Cu Chi Tunnels. On the way to the tunnels, visit Tay Ninh Cao Dai Great Temple, a unique religion worshiping Jesus, Confucius and Buddha! Enjoy lunch at Ngoc Tuyet restaurant in Tay Ninh.

Arrive and descend into the Cu Chi tunnels where the guerilla fighters constructed an amazing underground base and meet a veteran of the Vietnamese/American war who will give you a private tour of the tunnels and recount his experiences as a tunnel rat. Finally, to end our trip, we will be taken to the private home of Mr. Nam where we will have dinner with him and his family.

Day 14 Saigon - Departure

You will be picked up and taken to the airport for your flight.
