Day 1 Phnom Penh - Arrival
Arrive in Phnom Penh where you will be met by an air conditioned car and driver. Transfer to your hotel for check in.

Day 2 Phnom Penh - City Tour
This morning take a tour of the Royal Palace, still the royal residence. See the amazing royal collection and the beautiful architecture before heading to the National Museum where pre-Angkorean pieces, as well as special pieces from the temples are housed. Take a tour of the museum with a trained museum guide.
Enjoy lunch at Friends, a restaurant benefiting at-risk street children. On the way back stop at a local organization that takes at-risk and orphaned children and provides them with education and dance training, sit in on a traditional dance class and be amazed at the grace and persistence of these students.
Enjoy dinner at the FCC on the banks of the Mekong.

Day 3 Phnom Penh - The Killing Fields
Head to the Tuol Sleng Prison Museum where your guide will explain the history of the Khmer Rouge and walk you through the different museum displays. After watching the movie they show every day, head out to the Killing Fields, where a memorial stupa and shallow pits remind visitors of the thousands killed under the Pol Pot Regime.
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch your guide will take you to central market, reported to be the biggest domed market in the world, and to the famous Russian Market where everything from souvenirs to car parts is on sale. Enjoy a shopping spree or just browse along with the locals out doing their shopping.
Return to your hotel and relax before dinner at a riverside restaurant serving traditional Khmer or Western food.

Day 4 Siem Reap - Arrival
You will be met by a Journeys Within representative and taken to Journeys Within Boutique Hotel. Spend the afternoon relaxing in the garden, cool off in the swimming pool or if you have the energy, take a trip down town and walk around the local market.
Head into town to enjoy a traditional buffet dinner and dance show in the evening.

Day 5 Siem Reap - Angkor Wat
This morning head to Angkor Wat in an air-conditioned van with your guide. Explore this majestic temple throughout the morning while it is still cool and has fewer tourists. Experience the thrill of a tethered hot air balloon ride to get a bird's eye view of the temples.
Spend the afternoon at your leisure.

Day 6 Siem Reap - Banteay Srei, Other Temples and JWOC Class
This morning set off with your guide to Banteay Srei, the intricately carved temple just 30 km beyond Angkor Wat. Stop at Banteay Srey Butterfly Center which opened its net on Banteay Srey Butterfly Centre (BBC) opened its net on October 1st allowing visitors to interact with hundreds of free-flying native butterflies. Located 25km north of Siem Reap, on the road to Banteay Srei temple, BBC is set within a netted tropical garden and will feature some of the world’s largest butterflies. Including, the Atlas Moth with a wing-span of 26cm (11in) and the exotic Birdwing butterfly – that resembles more of a delicate bird then an insect. Interacting with more then 30 of Cambodia’s 400 species of butterflies, visitors can discover the miracle of insect life. Witnessing first-hand the complete lifecycle of the butterfly, from the tiny eggs to shocking caterpillars, mysterious pupae and finally the delicate adult butterfly.
As you head towards your hotel you can stop at Banteay Kdei and Ta Prohm, two of the prettiest temples in the complex. Enjoy climbing through these smaller unique before returning to your hotel for lunch. Sunday afternoons are special at Journeys Within Our Community a non profit started by Journeys Within owners Andrea and Brandon Ross, not only are our scholarship students there, returning from well scouting and loan collecting, but we also hold our art class for local students at 2pm. This class is a no-pressure class where anyone is invited to come, play games, sing songs and do a simple and rewarding art project. Volunteers are great for this class, we break the students into groups of 8 and as a volunteer you can join a group and help the little ones with scissors and other tricky tasks and give the older students encouragement and attention. The class runs to a little after 4pm. Please arrive 10 minutes before it starts so the teacher can explain the project and you can get oriented.

Day 7 Siem Reap - Quad Adventure Cambodia Half day tour
Join a group in Siem Reap and get your own quad bike so you can head off with a guide through villages and rice fields on sometimes easy and sometimes rough dirt roads. You will get a chance to meet the monks at the monastery of Pourk, visit Wat Athwea temple and its pagoda, stop at a silk handicraft workshop and an orphanage operated by an Italian NGO who provides housing, general knowledge and language classes for 48 children. Return dirty and tired but having had a fun, truly Cambodian experience!

Day 8 Siem Reap - Kayaking
Experience a unique Journeys Within day kayaking on the Tonle Sap. You will set out with the rest of the group around 8am and drive for about an hour before boarding a boat for a 40 minute ride to one of the lake villages. Here the homes are built on stilts because, while in the dry season the surrounding area is dry, in the rainy season it is flooded and so they rise above the water level. You will arrive at the local home that stores our canoes and after a short safety briefing head off with your guide who will lead you thru waterways, flooded forests and out into the Tonle Sap lake where you can take a dip if you wish. Then back to wind thru the village experiencing how the locals live in this watery environment before returning to the home for lunch and a leisurely boat and car ride back to town.

Day 9 Phnom Penh to Kep
Transfer to the airport in time to catch your flight (flight from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh included). Arrive in Phnom Penh where you will be met by an air conditioned car and driver and will drive you to Kep. Enjoy the afternoon at your leisure.

Day 10 - 13 Kep - Days at Leisure
Enjoy the days at the beach at your leisure. If you feel like exploring we recommend visiting the crab market and Rabbit Island.

Your driver will meet you at your hotel and drive you back to Phnom Penh airport in time to catch your onward flight .
