Guide Training 2011
Every year for the last eight years, Brandon and I have traveled the region running Guide Training. The idea was to meet, get to know, evaluate, and train the Journeys Within guides. Originally, when we didn't have offices in every country, guide training was very hard.
Now, with offices in all five Southeast Asia countries, we are able to get to know and use the same guides year after year so that they truly become part of the Journeys Within Family. This year I am doing all five countries at once, something that we haven't done in the past and something that I think will really make it an even better experiences for the guides and me.
6 Countries, 1 Team
To celebrate Guide Training 2011 we made a video, featuring our directors, some of our star guides and April, Brandon and I. We wanted the current guides to see how much we value them and hear what they had to say and we wanted any new guides to know that they are now part of a true team. Of course once we finished the video we loved it so much we also wanted to share it with everyone!

Vietnam Guide Training
Andrea and Michelle traveled all over Vietnam to visit our many guides there. There was sun, there was rain, and there was a lot of bike riding!
Thailand Guide Training
The fantastic Journeys Within team from Thailand hung out in Bangkok and Chiang Mai. They had some great adventures riding elephants and bikes. Lots of team bonding and idea sharing!
Laos Guide Training
The Journeys Within team in Luang Prabang and Vientiane, Elephant Village, and floating down the Mekong on a karaoke boat.
